Daniel Vosovic founded the Kit in New York City in 2016. The Project Runway finalist gained critical acclaim at the New York Fashion Week and built a new business model that opposed the traditional wholesale model in fashion. The womenswear brand sells their garments in the form of kits, and each kit comprises of a top, bottoms, and dress that can be worn as a complete ensemble or as separates.

After analyzing the current supply chain of The Kit, a new supply chain strategy has been proposed to attain a quick response model that delivers the order within 14 days of receiving the purchase order from buyers. This project investigates and develops key areas including the evaluation of suppliers and supply chain providers, cost analysis, quality assurance, sustainability, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics to introduce a new kit in the marketplace. A study of the current sociopolitical and economic changes in the global sourcing network and ethical impact of global manufacturing was vital to inform socially responsible decision making.
